In this latest issue of the newsletter, I set out the investment case for a somewhat unique coal business that appears to be almost completely overlooked by public equity markets.
This subject company offers exposure to both thermal coal used for electricity generation and metallurgical coal used in steel production. Interestingly, despite the bad press coal generally receives (mostly with respect to thermal coal), metallurgical coal was recently dubbed “the commodity world's quiet performer” among energy-related commodities in a recent Reuters piece.
